Profile
LMR Drilling UK Ltd became a subsidary to LMR Drilling GmbH in 1999 to provide increased performace in horizontal directional drilling services to the pipeline and civil engineering industries.
The company has since grown in both size and reputation and offers these services to a global market with considerable experience in outfall, landfall and conventional drilled crossings.
With the experience gained on over 1.000 crossings, up to 4,600 m in length and for pipe diameters up to 56” LMR provides industry leading expertise offering frontend feasibility and crossing design services and constructability reviews in addition to undertaking drilling works.
Having developed the large pilot hole concept back in 2001, this technique was fundamental to the success of the projects on which LMR were awarded the Pipeline Industry Guild land-based pipeline technology awards in 2005 and 2006.
The benefits have been more recently demonstrated on the successful completion of landmark projects at Milford Haven (3,000 m x 457 mm gas pipeline HDD and winner of the ICE (Wales) Large Project of the Year Award in 2011) and the twin crossings of the Solent Waterway where each drill exceeded 3,900 m in length.
The company has an excellent safety, quality and environmental record and is committed to supplying innovative solutions and excellent value by working closely with consultants, other contractors and clients, managing the risks and effectively delivering the works.
LMR Drilling has five rigs with an 80 t, 100 t, 250 t and 450 t capacity. The company is certified according to EN ISO 9001:2000, EN ISO 14001:2009, EN ISO 45001 and SCCp.
